The Black Holocaust…

Thank you for reading this blog as we explore the Black Holocaust and some of its ramifications. Many would like for African-Americans to leave this issue alone, but to me it would be similar to telling the Jews to forget about their Holocaust because things have changed. I understand the reverse racism claims and would just like to inform the public that the damage has had a long lasting impact on the African-American community. With that said, this blog will also serve to educate and enlighten those that are not aware of the Black Holocaust due to the down playing of this event, and to the outright denial of its occurrence.

Therefore for some this may be the first time that they are exposed to the atrocities that were committed against people of African ancestry. This blog will explore the premise of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade and how international commerce dictated the trade.  Understanding and coming to grips with the reality that we sold ourselves into servitude in some instances, and that ultimately our ignorance partially contributed to our demise. Without making this disclaimer, I am sure that some of the content in this blog could be taken out of content and prompt people to hold views that are contrary to what is intended. The purpose is to enlighten, and to expose the myths for what they are. The issue of race is one that continues to rear its head in all facets of our life, and will continue to do so until we address past injustices, and present sensitivities.
